Jamie Basso - Fast Food
Steven Audia - Fast Food
So here is my interpretation of the fast food theme. For the first image
I wanted to make the fries look as tempting and desirable as possible. Their
salty deep fried goodness glistening in the sunlight makes you want to just
reach out and grab one. For the second image I wanted to make the bag look as
disgusting and used as possible so I threw all the fries into the bag and
squished them around to make the bag as greasy as I possibly could. I think the
bag acts as a good metaphor for the deterioration of the human body witch is
sped up when we consume fast food. Thank you in advance for your feedback and comments!

Alex Pennington - Fast Food
I know, i'm on a bit of a kick with this theme. But the series i'm working on is an exploration of the sexuality of food. I'm not very good at describing my work, but here it is to decipher it in your own way. Criticisms are MUCH appreciated! Love you all xxx <--- see what i did there. A LITTLE PUN!

Does fast food decompose?
Well, a published report and evidence say no. Time to take this assignment to another level, i guess we'll all find out in April.
Take a look at this article i found witty and insightful.
I found myself agreeing with the author on multiple accounts.
"That's the real story here. It's not that McDonald's hamburgers won't decompose; it's thatpeople are stupid enough to eat them. But you won't find CNN reporting that story any time soon."

I decided to use a slow shutter speed during darker hours to make the lights stand out more. For example, the bright lights next to the building are the cars in the driveway.
I overlapped the two images over each other to give an interesting effect. Even though the part of the "M" is fully illuminated with ghostly lighting, it is still obvious that it is from McDonalds, thus showing how accustomed we are to this particular fast food chain. :)
Jane Kuhn, Theme #1 Fast Food
So my idea basically came from Art History. If you guys remember the painting by Jacques-Louis David called Death of Marat. I basically re-created that painting and replaced Marat's writing tools with McDonald's. Basically the idea being that fast food is basically not healthy. Hope you like it :)
Black Hamburger- Michelle Nunes
So this is my photo for the theme fast food. I painted a hamburger (not from McDonalds) but from home black. Why? Well weirdly, when I read the theme this is the first thing that came into my head. I think because I was inspired by a picture of Chanel McDonald boxes:

I think that black adds a sense of elegance to the fast food, which usually is one of the least elegant foods we eat.
