A.Sinclaire: Bleated theme #5

I had a hard time interpreting this theme, which is why it's so late. I had an epiphany the other day, and decided to shoot this based on a weird quirk of mine. As far back as I can remember, I've had these existential moments of crisis where I go through a loophole of questioning my existence. It's not really, "am I a real?" but more "I'm actually here, I can't wake up from this, this persona is 'me'". I still get these, and the over all affect leaves me wondering if reality is some sort of phantasmagoric manifestation. When I was a child, instead of words, I pictured myself on a couch watching my life through a TV. This is what I want to illustrate: the idea that I'm watching myself, and my life is nothing more than a simulation made for my amusement.

Now, I'm at a loss on how to edit this to capture the feeling I get, so any last minute suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers!

Jane Kuhn, Theme #5 - Fantasy

Same situation here not sure which one to choose. But I was basing this shot on the movie Ever After. It was a favourite movie of mine and since the Cinderella story is like a fantasy and "Dreams Coming True" I consider it Fantasy

Jane Kuhn, Theme #4 - Shame

So I was not really sure which one to choose. But basically it is around the idea of how girls are shy to show that they are on their periods. Gina is holding a pad and passing it to Jes.

Comments pls :D
Jane Kuhn Theme #3 - Icon

I know its late but if anyone has suggestions I'm open for them. I thought of Icon in the sense that every store has a brand name that is like an icon in the sense that it represents a store with certain types of clothing. So with just looking at these bags you can tell which store they are from.

Suggestions pls! :)

Jamie Basso - Fantasy

Hello Friday,

This may sound a little cliché but for some reason the clouds really captivated me when I took this photo. I was driving home from school and almost rear-ended the car in front of me because there were these really strange, wispy formations of clouds in the distance that I couldn't take my eyes off of. When I got out of the car and readied my camera, the clouds didn't quite look the same, nonetheless I still chose to go with this as the concept of my photo.

Cheers!

Jamie Basso - Exotic

I was playing around with different crops for this photo when I figured I'd look at some comments to see what y'all had said about it... then I realized I didn't put it up. Oh. Look at that. This is shamefully late but at least it is here now!

Bianca Granata - Fantasy

very cliche, I know. but when I think fantasy, I think fairy.

second & third versions, that are closer cropped:

thoughts / preferred version?

Michelle Nunes Fantasy version 2

Okay last post. I re-shot fantasy, and I edited the other one a bit more.

In the 2nd one the feathers are a bit more blurry than I'd like. In another one they're fine but I don't like it as much, and the lighting is weird. Help?

Michelle Nunes- Icon Redo

So I just wanted to explore the theme of icon a bit more.

I shot sprinkle doughnuts because I feel like they are iconic to the American culture.
Which on do you think is best?
Emma Ewing: fantasy

So I have photos from two different shoots but I'm not sure what I think yet...

I have this laser pointer/flashlight thing that shines different designs onto walls and stuff so thats what the second one is

Emma Ewing: fast food reshoot

Fantasty Re-do Michelle Nunes

So this is my re-do of fantasy.
It's kind of a strange image, but I kind of like it.

Jes Cervoni - Exotic (yeah thats right)

So this may be a bit late, but just a bit.

My lighting is horribly uneven in both unfortunately, and I may have time to quickly re-shoot it this week. The premise is that the habitat they are placed in is exotic to them (not sure what a gold fish's natural habitat would be though).

The fish is named Ziggy, because he is orange, he also has a gold fish friend named Freddie. They are underwater, therefore, "Under Pressure". Obviously I thought this was hilarious. You should also know that Ziggy is alive and well.

Lyndsey Constable: Fantasy Theme REDO

LYNDSEY CONSTABLE: THEME: FATASY (REDO)

So I decided that I hated my last blog for Fantasy...

So here is my REDO

This photo was taken at Allen Gardens, which I am obsessed with.
And if anyone has ever wanted to experience what the jungle feels like this is the place.
SO this place for me is a fantasy, it is an escape from the everyday city life.

Tuesday, 3 April 2012

I immediately wanted to frame this so all you could see was the little scene. I then realized half humor and half of the story is that this is happening on a kitchen counter. It gives it context. hope you enjoy

Casey Mendonca Theme #5 Fantasy

When I think of fantasy I think of a lot of things like weird mysterious clouds and moons that are kind of mystical.. Not sure how to explain it my vocabulary isn't that broad yet! Anyywhoooo I know its not much but I plan on reshooting this weekend or something! But I would really like some feedback on this one as to how i could improve it or something if I don't get to reshoot before the due date.

Thanks guys.

Jes Cervoni - Fantasy

I wanted to depict the idea of reliving a fantasy. A particular one for me was going to Europe, which I was able to do last summer. The image is made up of two photos, one that I took in Paris, and another taken here in Toronto with a plane in the sky. It is inspired by Isabel Martinez's photos. Website: http://www.immartinez.com/

I was hoping to get the same kind of shadowing effect that she has from her cut pieces by printing out each photo individually, cutting the strips myself, placing them on top of the other photo and then shoot the finished print. If anyone might know of a different way I could create this effect without ruining the quality of my image it would be greatly appreciated.
