When I think of fantasy I think of a lot of things like weird mysterious clouds and moons that are kind of mystical.. Not sure how to explain it my vocabulary isn't that broad yet! Anyywhoooo I know its not much but I plan on reshooting this weekend or something! But I would really like some feedback on this one as to how i could improve it or something if I don't get to reshoot before the due date.
Thanks guys.
Make the moon huuuuge and partially leave the frame (part joke, part completely serious). I think you have room to play with the yellow/blue colour palate as well, really push it to an extreme. Maybe crop or content aware scale it bigger to get the beach out of it. Then you can really play with the blue/yellow interplay.
ReplyDeleteI find its almost too busy! I love love love the colour of the water itself and the rolling waves, that speaks more exotic to me then with everything together! see what it would look like with out the moon and whatever you've done to edit the sky! beautiful otherwise.

Wow, the colours really draw you in! Almost like you're in a dream! I love the textures the rolling water creates.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Tyler's suggestion of making the moon bigger. That would make the whole scene more fantastical in my opinion. :)

ReplyDeleteI agree with all the above comments; the colours are gorgeous, and definitely give this photo a dreamlike quality.:)
ReplyDeleteThough I feel the pattern in the sky is a bit distracting. Maybe if you play around with it a bit, to make it look less like a repeating pattern? (I think the very rudimentary, even spacing is what distracts my eye here... maybe if it were more random there would be more of a sense of rhythm) You could also play around with its opacity, and with the way it blends into the lower half of the composition. Just something to play around with, perhaps? :)
I also really like the idea of the moon being alot bigger, I think that would make the whole image seem more surreal and dreamlike. :)
Great work!
