Maria Kolesnikova, Fast Food Theme

So the picture I had in my head was much better than how it actually turned out...but well :)
Basically, the idea is pretty obvious: the ketchup splashes represent a puddle of blood, and the two lines of salt - drugs, which shows how harmful and toxic fast food is! that's it! ;)

  1. I like the idea of the salt to represent toxicity. The ketchup I find is a little orange and very clumpy so I find the idea of 'blood' is lost. The two-toned lighting I find separates your image into two severe halves. Perhaps you can try to relight the situation, and focus on the fries and salt, you can use the lines of the salt and fries to direct the viewers eye and really define space around it.

  2. I agree in the vein of Meagan, I like where this image is going but I feel like you stopped half way before getting to the real meat of it. Why not simply focus on the salt and ketchup as blood and drugs and fill out the composition with drug paraphernalia instead of straws and the original containers of the fast food ?

  3. I really enjoy the concept of it, and your interpreted use of the salt and ketchup. I do agree with meagan as well about the two-toned background, it is a little harsh. Also I am a little distracted by the fries and ketchup holders in the background. I feel my eye always goes back to that. If you really want the containers you could maybe try a solid background, or reverse the two toned background to have the black where the containers are.

  4. Interesting idea! I do agree with the split background through. Maybe you could try a gradient?
