My photo was inspired by Ai Weiwei's photo below. Ai Weiwei is an outspoken and controversial Chinese artist and activist. My "fast food" photo gives McDonalds and fast food the finger, while still acknowledging our own guilt and gluttony.
It worked better in my head. I'll probably reshoot. I'd appreciate any feedback.
Lo
I really like the idea. I like the idea to also keep the image in black and white. If you are doing to reshoot watch the focus on the box of fries, it seems a touch off, maybe have your aperture set to display a little more depth f/4? f/5.6? don't be afraid to have the mcdonalds in the background a little blurry (like your reference photo). I really enjoy this.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the focus is definitely wrong. Thanks for your feedback, Meagan.
ReplyDeleteWait, Meagan, did you just say maybe have more depth then say don't be afraid to blur the background?
ReplyDeleteI was gonna suggest (IF you shoot Nikon) the 24 f/1.4 from the cage for a reshoot, it's a beauty lens and would totally blur the background, which I think is necessary. Anything similar focal length and the ability to shoot that wide if your canon would do the trick too! (Just checked and it says they have a 24mm prime too, not sure of aperture).

I love this concept! I like how the finger echos the shape of the fry. Also, I like how the arm is outside the frame. It leads your eye in quite nicely!
