Emma Ewing- Fast Food

My concept is pretty straight forward, I shot people eating their fast food lunches from the upper balcony above the urban eatery.

  1. First thing I notice is that the shots should be more in focus. I like the first one better, since the lighting seems slightly clearer and there is feeling of interaction. That being said, the lighting could probably be a little less warm, and the people are wearing a lot of black which makes them blend into the chairs a little. Since this is something you can't really change, I might edit that in post.
The second shot could also work, maybe if the crop was a little less tight, if the lighting wasnt so warm, and if the jacket of the man didnt blend in with the black around him - it creates for this long awkward shape that is a bit distracting.
Otherwise, I quite like the whole peeping tom idea. ;)

  2. This idea is great! (It would work really well as a series) My biggest recommendation would be to reshoot. Go to the cage, sign out a kickass telephoto lens and really try work on the focusing issues. Shoot lots from different angles so you have variety to choose from and go and there. You'll probably have to play with lighting levels and colour in post. Good process so far!

  3. I agree with Helen on the tight crop on the second one. It feels a little claustrophobic but interesting idea!
