I recently bought my first polaroid thought it was fitting to use for this blog upload.
When I think of fantasy i think of my childhood of when we would dream of being something were not, imaging places were we could be....
I wanted it to be fun and have a childish feel.
Oh, my goodness. I love this.
ReplyDeleteYou put multimedia to good use here. Your take on fantasy in relation to childhood is very relatable and fun.
Your use of perspective is very effective in relation to your idea of childhood and fantasy. Its as if the viewer is an adult looking down on a child. The use of drawing on what the individual is fantasizing about adds a sort of child like charm as well.

Wow!
ReplyDeleteI really like this! Thats really funny !
The only think I may change is where it was taken. I like that the guy is out of focus but maybe if it was on the street or even around people in the same area it is would give more of an effect.
I really like you're idea, I would just have liked to see a little more depth.
Other than that great job!

This is just greatness.
ReplyDeleteI love how the subject is trying to be anything, but has just taken on a simple hands on his hips pose.
Kind of gives me that feeling where anyone can be a "superhero" not matter who aha.

Love this. Not much to critique, it's really quirky. Great job!

Love the cuteness and simplicity of this, almost looks very cartoon like with the drawn on cape!

I LOVE THIS!
ReplyDeleteSo neat that you mixed medias, photog and drawing, so smart!
The only thing I would suggest is maybe doing 2 more? showing them in like a series?
Just such a cool idea it would be really neat to see more!

I saw this in Emily's room and instantly loved it, had no idea you'd posted it to the blog. Great choice. Only thing that gets me is the corner of the wall bottom right. I love the aesthetic of the location, it really could be anywhere and exists nowhere. That corner is just too much detail in something that works by being totally bland.
ReplyDeleteWicked stuff.
I really love this! I think combining the photo and the drawing was a really great and interesting idea!
