Helen Piekoszewski - Theme #3, Icon.

I decided to look at the theme from the angle that an icon can be not just people themselves but a symbol that represents someone. I photographed some of my hoodies, which I wear every single day. They've become sort of my identifier since I was about 12. I feel naked without them. They are an iconic aspect of me. 



I was thinking of doing them with a completely white background, making the images connect seamlessly. I'm planning on re-shooting to fix some focus issues. Let me know what you think!

I also might re-shoot since I have other ideas on how to represent this same line of thinking, but I need to figure out how I'm going to execute them. :)

  1. I kind of like the textured backgrounds!! The bottom middle square though seems a tiny bit darker than the rest!

  2. I find that wrinkly background too distracting...I would just go smooth. These also seem a bit overexposed and many display varying colour casts that should be tweaked. Also, important to consider what has happened that has now effected the oh-so-iconic hoodie:
