Hey guys,
So this is my Shame picture for this week. This originally represented comfort, but I felt like it could represent both comfort and shame.
I feel this can represent shame because we associate shame with hiding our face, the most typical gesture of feeling ashamed.
I really like this! I think the way your subjects head gets lost in the darkness, it really brings out the theme of shame and hiding. The colour palate is really neutral too which I really think works!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I would do is crop it a bit more at the bottom, but thats just personal!

ReplyDeleteI think you could play with the pose more on this way.

sorry, on this "one"
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea! I like how the part covering her face is close to her skin tone, I think that works well.

The bit of ear that peaks out at the top of the collar grounds out the position of the face too much for me. Aka, I can't quite figure out where the facial features are at first which keeps me intrigued in the image, but as soon as I see the tip of ear I'm able to extrapolate out where the rest of the features are and the image looses it's power for me.
ReplyDeleteSimple photoshop work to cover it up with hair would solve all the issues I have with it :)
